What makes a good Corporate, Business, Executive Headshot?
Your Headshot needs to represent your Brand. Your Brand is who you are, who you want to be, and who people perceive you to be. Important considerations include your wardrobe selection, expression, posture, crop or aspect ratio of the photo and background.
What should I wear? What should I bring.
Difficult to provide you with specific recommendations, but here is some guidance. Generally, darker shades shoot better. A jacket or blazer provides your shoulders with structure to support your head. Busy patterns distract from you, but can also give you a unique style. For headshots, bottoms do not usually matter unless you specifically want a 3/4 shot. However, the more body you include in your photo, the smaller your face and ability to show personality in the photo. IF you are not sure, bring extra to change. I can shoot ties on and off aa well as glasses on and off.
How long does the shoot take?
For a corporate shoot of multiple people, I will arrive a half-hour before the shoot time to setup. Schedule your staff approximately 10 minutes apart or have a group of 5 available to be called every half hour.
How do you ensure my team will like the photos?
I provide extensive coaching for posing, posture and expression throughout the shoot. A large 15 inch monitor is setup for review of all the shots as we shoot. The favourites will be marked and provided as a gallery for closer review. If you wish, and to ensure a quicker to turnover the team can select their headshot of choice at the time of the shoot.
What is Retouching?
All quotes include the session, online gallery of proofs and one retouched photo of choice per person. The retouching includes removal of blemishes or scars, even out skin tones and softening of wrinkles. Minimizing lines and puffiness under the eyes. Removal of hair frizz. If you wish, transparent backgrounds or background replacement.
